Settings

Welcome to the General Settings page! Here, you can personalize your LatchLoop experience by adjusting your preferences for themes, automation, and experimental features. This guide explains each option available on the General Settings page and how they affect your workflow.

1. Theme Preference

What it does:
Choose how LatchLoop looks to you! You can select from a variety of themes to match your style or environment.

Available options:

  • Light: A bright, classic look.
  • Dark: A dark mode that’s easy on the eyes, especially in low light.
  • Rosé Pine, Monokai, Midnight, Aurora, Aurora Mist, Sunrise: Unique color palettes for a more personalized or creative feel.
  • System (Default): LatchLoop will automatically match your operating system’s theme (light or dark).

How it works:
When you select a theme, the app instantly previews how it will look. Once you save, the theme is applied across your LatchLoop account.

2. Auto-Build Imported Tasks

What it does:
This setting controls whether LatchLoop should automatically start building (generating code or actions) for tasks that are imported from your project management tools, such as ClickUp or Linear.

  • Enabled (default):
As soon as you import a task (for example, by tagging it in ClickUp), LatchLoop will review and, if possible, begin building and creating a pull request automatically.
  • Disabled:
Imported tasks will appear in LatchLoop, but you’ll need to manually start the build process.

How it relates to integrations:
When you connect project management tools like ClickUp or Linear, you can set a default project in LatchLoop where imported tasks will go. The auto-build setting determines whether those imported tasks are immediately acted upon by the AI agent.

Want to learn more about integrations or how to set a default project for imports? See our Integration Guides (links coming soon).

3. Experimental Features

Cards Toolbar Button

  • What it does:
Enables an experimental feedback cards button and related keyboard shortcuts in the task toolbar. This feature is for users who want to try out new ways to interact with tasks and give feedback.

  • How to use:
Turn this on to see and use the new toolbar button in your task view. Since it’s experimental, things may change or improve over time!

4. Saving Your Settings

After making any changes, click Save Changes. Your preferences are stored securely and will be applied the next time you use LatchLoop.
