Keyboard Shortcuts in LatchLoop

LatchLoop is designed for speed and efficiency—keyboard shortcuts help you work faster, whether you’re browsing your task list or working on a specific task. This guide explains all the keyboard shortcuts available in LatchLoop, including what they do and where they work.

General Notes

  • Shortcuts work only when you’re not typing in a text field or editor.
  • On Mac, Windows, and Linux, shortcuts are the same.
  • Some shortcuts are only available in certain views (Task List or Task Detail).
  • On mobile devices, most keyboard shortcuts are not available.

Task List Shortcuts

When viewing your project’s task list, you can use these shortcuts:

Tip: When using Arrow Up/Down, the task you’re selecting will be highlighted. Press Enter to open it.


Task Detail Shortcuts

When viewing a specific task, you have even more shortcuts to speed up your workflow:

File Tray & File Selection Shortcuts

When the file tray is open (used to include file contents in your AI prompt):

1-9Toggle selection of the first 9 files in the tray
Cmd/Ctrl + IToggle “Include File Contents” (advanced)
  • In file search, use Arrow Up/Down to move through results and Enter to add a file.
  • Esc closes the file search.

Feedback Cards Shortcuts (Experimental)

If feedback cards are enabled in your settings, you can use:

Keyboard Shortcut Reference Dialog

You can view a summary of all shortcuts at any time in the Task Detail view:

  • Press Shift + ? or Shift + / to open the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog.
  • Or, open the task options menu (three dots in the top right) and select “Keyboard Shortcuts”.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Shortcuts not working? Make sure you are not typing in a text field, search bar, or the description editor. Click outside any input box and try again.
  • On mobile devices, most shortcuts are not available due to limited keyboard support.
  • File tray shortcuts only work when the tray is open and visible.
  • Feedback cards are only available if enabled in your settings (experimental feature).

  • Enter = Open selected task
  • 1-6 = Filter tasks

Task Detail:

  • Q = Back to project
  • W = Plan
  • E = Build
  • R = Copy prompt
  • A = Toggle file tray
  • S = Model selector
  • D = Focus description
  • F = File search
  • G = Open PR
  • Z = Toggle AI sidebar
  • / = File search (when tray open)
  • Shift+? = Show shortcut help
  • 1-9 = Toggle files in tray
