PagerDuty gives an agent incident, alert, service, escalation, responder, and status context during operational response. A useful incident brief answers concrete questions: what fired, which service is affected, who owns the response, what changed, and which checks remain open.
The agent should build a timestamped timeline before proposing a cause. An alert grouping, recent deployment, or repeated error can guide investigation, but correlation is not proof. It should preserve incident links, alert details, acknowledgements, notes, and handoffs while keeping sensitive information out of the report.
PagerDuty tracks response and service impact. Sentry supplies exceptions, traces, releases, and affected requests. Joining them by service and incident window can narrow an alert to a specific error pattern. The agent should redact user data and tokens, and responders decide whether to change status, page someone, or deploy a fix.
Combine plugins
Outcome pages can describe combinations: one plugin for source context, another for project tracking, and another for delivery or notifications. Use PagerDuty as one layer in a larger agent workflow when the outcome needs more than one connected app.
