Plan around the store behavior, not an endpoint list
BigCommerce work can cross catalog, customers, carts, orders, channels, and webhooks. A useful agent starts from one store behavior and follows the records that behavior reads or changes. It should name the store or channel scope, API version or surface, authentication, request order, and identifiers that connect the steps.
Ask for evidence behind field requirements and status behavior. Product options, variants, price lists, inventory locations, and channel assignments can change what appears straightforward in a single sample request.

Validate the contract with Postman
BigCommerce supplies the commerce API and store state. Postman supplies a controlled place to exercise requests, environments, examples, and assertions. The combined workflow turns the plan into a sequence that can confirm authentication, identifiers, payloads, and error behavior against a non-production store.
Use placeholders for secrets and require a deliberate environment check before any request that creates or changes commerce data.
